A Visit to Ras Al-Khaimah – Exploring Its Museums

To as far back as I can remember, I have always had a keen passion towards history. I used to religiously read books related to history. History was a big point of attraction for me as I was always trying to learn more about my country’s as well as the world’s history. This fascination has carried on in adulthood as well, and I still enjoy learning a lot about history.

As a part of the professional corporate worldnow though, I find it very difficult to find much time to follow and give time to my passions. The work schedule takes up a large portion of my day, and the need to rest later supersedes any other hobbies. So, I applied for a leave recently to go and explore some new historical sites.

I decided to go to Ludhiana as I have never visited this city, and I wanted to explore the historical places as well as other points of interests in the city. I have always had a keen interest in exploring new places, and this was the perfect opportunity to do so. Ludhiana is a city with many historical sites, and I was quite eager to see them. Another thing I was keen on experiencing was the genuine cuisine of Punjab, which if famous all over the world. Thus, I was looking forward to my trip, and made sure to make my travel arrangements in time.

Booking Train Tickets To Ludhiana

As the two cities, Delhi and Ludhiana, are quite close by to each other and are also important cities in the region, the Indian Railways has quite a lot of trains that connect these two cities. There were a lot of trains listen that went from New Delhi to Ludhiana. After looking at all the train’s details and features, I decided to book my tickets on the Sri Shakti Express (22642). This train had timings most convenient for me. I was quite impressed when I reached the Ludhiana Railway Station because of how well-maintained it was with a lot of facilities and amenities. Some of the best things about my journey were:

Excellent catering services on the train who took care of food.
Cleaning staff on train did a good job.
Train was on schedule.

Visiting Historical Sites At Ludhiana

I had decided to visit the Lodhi Fort, Phillaur Fort, and the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum. First I visited the two forts, which were quite majestic structures imposing a vibe of force. An example of historical defence structures, the forts were a great visit. Next I visited the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum, which was my favourite. It is an excellent museum with many artefacts from the history of the region. I spent more than half a day looking at the exhibits at the museum. I enjoyed myself a lot.

A Great Stay at Hotel Metro Heights

The Hotel Metro Heights was a great hotel to stay at. Its comfortable and spacious rooms fitted with all modern amenities and facilities with great services, made it an excellent stay for me with reasonable prices as well.
